Air Chief Marshal of French Air Force invited by FFW

Saturday the 18th President Christian Amara invited general Denis MERCIER, Chief of the Staff of the French Air Force, to visit our base in Melun-Villaroche. Part of France’s Flying Warbirds the team  had the  privilege to receive him in company of General Gilles LEMOINE, Managing Director of the  airshows  within the  Fondation des Œuvres Sociales de l’Air, and its predecessor in this post, Général Bruno CLERMONT.

When the visit was completed, general Mercier, who was a fighter pilot in the seventies and the eighties, was invited sit in the Skyraider before to take a ride in the back sit of the P-51D Mustang.

General Lemoine took a ride at the controls of the T-6G in company of one of our pilots.

 
 
 
    
 

At noon, a lunch was organised with retired French Air Force fighter pilots and other collectors based in Melun-Villaroche. 
In the afternoon, followed a visit to "Cercle de Chasse de Melun Villaroche"and the  l’Association des Mécaniciens et Pilotes d'Aéronefs Anciens
 
 
To end the event an art metal scale replica of the Rafale was offered to Christian Amara. généraux MERCIER, LEMOINE et CLERMONT
