Marc Léon MATHIS

Saturday 19th of November, about hundred people gathered in the A3P (Amicale des Pilotes Passionnés de Pilotage ) hangar of the Strasburg-Neuhof airport to commemorate the disappearing, one year ago of Marc “Léon” Mathis. It is there, over the Strasburg-Neuhof in 1966 that he accomplished his first flights.

The name of Marc “Léon” Mathis was then given to this historical hanger where a plate with his name was revealed. Then the rich aeronautical career and human qualities of Marc were celebrated in a meeting full of emotion.
